These hand-crafted, individually made, limited edition prints by photographer/printer David Aimone are unique photographic images of heirloom quality. These prints are made one at a time through time-consuming processes that take from hours to days for each print. Historic printing methods are combined with modern techniques to create artful, archival prints. Metals such as iron, silver, gold, palladium and platinum are coated on to special watercolor papers, and a photographic negative the size of the final print is placed on the coated paper before exposure and development. Some processes use watercolor paints and other pigments in the coating or toning of the paper. Each individual print is a unique creative expression.
